10+ years content design leadership, primarily focused on user trust and safety.
I currently work on Google Search, designing tools and strategies to help protect people on vulnerable journeys. I’ve also led UX writing for Google Assistant end-to-end experiences, and for Google Identity, where my work centered on authentication and keeping accounts safe.
I recently moved to Chicago from the San Francisco Bay Area.
Work highlights
A small selection of some of my favorite projects. Please reach out for more detailed info.
Google Search Info Literacy - Staff Content Designer
I led end-to-end content strategy for a suite of tools and notices that help users make sense of the information they encounter online.
I worked closely with research and leading thought experts in this field to ensure we were providing the right information and using the appropriate tone to be helpful and increase user trust.
Google.org x City of San José - Lead UX Designer
I partnered with the City of San José for 6 months to help improve their 911 emergency response times.
Our small cross-functional team designed a digital call taker, rerouted certain call types, and relaunched 311 as a general service number.
Account security checkup - Lead Content Designer
I led the content design for a suite of products aimed at empowering users to become active participants in their account protection.
This signified a shift in Google’s approach to security, which had previously been much more passive.
Google Assistant Reminders - Lead Content Designer
I designed the content for the Google Assistant reminders experience on smart home devices and mobile apps.
Required thinking through the experience for both the sender and receiver and designing for different modalities.
